I Search - I
Search is a research model developed by Ken Macrorie in the early 80s.
In this research model the individual selects a topic that is important to them to research. This topic can be an interest, something you want to know about, or to satisfy a need. I Search is designed to give lifetime skills in writing, interviewing, listening, reading, and reporting in a manner that others will enjoy. The steps are:
1. Choose a Topic

2. Free write
9. Free write using information gathered
3. Feedback from a small group
10. Edit
4. Find experts on the topic
11. Feedback from a small group
5. Think about the interview
12. Review feedback and make needed changes
6. Interview
13. List References
7. Compare information gathered from experts
14. Finalize paper
