The following is a link to an online library guide I created for your students. This one is for education. I will also make one for physical education & counseling. I made a video tour on the front page of our major resources. Under the library tutorial tab, I created one video on how to use several of our databases to search for journal articles in education. I get asked that question frequently. However, I can create ANY tutorial clips demonstrating how to find any resources you want and post them to this page. Let me know what you want me to create a tutorial for and I will make one or a series. I am hoping to fill up this page this summer with tutorials which will be most helpful for you and your students.
Also, please note that we have access to several great new databases. We now have "Education Index Retrospective 1929-1983" which is great for historical research in education. For those of you who teach children's literature classes we have the "Something About the Author Series" online! Also, under the education films tab, we now have "Films on Demand" and VAST: Academic Videos (Alexander Street Press). Vast provides access to thousands of films in education which you might be able to embed into your course or show in class. Really neat stuff!
Finally, I will add any information you want me to add to this guide. Feel free to link it in your LiveText or Blackboard Courses. Oh, we also have hundreds of new education and physical education books which you can access electronically through the catalog. Do a keyword search and type "electronic books" in one search box and your topic in the next search box to see what we have. This should help meet the needs of our distance education students.
