The Alabama Virtual Library is available to all Alabama residents.
To use the AVL you must contact your local public or school librarian to obtain a password.
*BRITTANICA
Provides access to encyclopedias on elementary, middle schools, and high school levels. Other available resources include a world atlas, merriam-webster dictionary, and workspace to take notes on your research. In the elementary encyclopedia there is an activity section for younger students in the Brittanica Learning Zone. On the additional databases, links are provided for a Spanish language encyclopedia, the Webster's Third International Dictionary, and other valuable resources.
